“EVERYTHING I EVER DID”

”Everything I Ever Did” is a quilt created over three years, evolving from the earlier series Cheap Sheets and Soiled Smalls. It is an object that carries time, labour and emotional weight.
The work explores fallibility, vulnerability and the space between exposure and safety.
By laying bare her own flaws and shadows, Bryony Shearmur invites viewers into a shared recognition of imperfection — not as confession, but as offering. The quilt becomes a kind of shelter: a place where mistakes are held rather than erased, and where the beauty of incompleteness can be gently witnessed.
